A Journey of Healing and Hope
Hello to you all! It’s been 3 years since my last blog post (may be a little rusty writing) and I think a part of me just wanted to let go of our old life all together, but as we observe World Cancer Day today, I find myself reflecting on a journey that began six years ago when my husband, Todd, received a life-altering cancer diagnosis. While it changed our lives forever, it also became an unexpected blessing in disguise, leading us to a path of holistic healing and a profound realization of the preciousness of life.
When conventional treatments failed him, we embraced an alternative route that guided us towards a healthier lifestyle. Trading our old life for the RV lifestyle, we embarked on a two-year journey across the country. We sought to escape the shadows of our past and live life to the fullest, even though the echoes of our struggles lingered in the background.
However, the pursuit of normalcy led us to revert to some unhealthy habits, underestimating the importance of a consistent holistic lifestyle. Recent hardships, such as discovering mold in our camper, prompted us to transition to the tiny home life sooner than expected. Todd’s health challenges persisted, with ongoing digestive issues and now extremely swollen lymph nodes becoming additional hurdles on his healing path.
Last week, Todd consulted another naturopathic doctor who conducted extensive testing, unveiling a ton of challenges preventing his body from healing and detoxifying properly. From unknown allergies to heightened stress levels and compromised brain functions, the results painted a comprehensive picture of his struggles. Despite the likelihood of it being a recurrence of cancer, we choose to focus on addressing the root causes that trigger his body’s response.
We firmly believe in the body’s innate ability to heal itself when aligned correctly. However, we acknowledge the time and financial constraints associated with holistic healing modalities. Our out-of-pocket costs for treatments, supplements, daily saunas, and maintaining a healthy diet are substantial, and he needs more things like PEMF, Plasma frequency, brain tapping, lymphatic vibrations, ionic baths, and more supplements every single day. So we’ve found ourselves reaching out for support once again.
Asking for any kind of help has never been easy for me personally, but when it comes to the health of our loved ones, the instinct to do anything is overpowering. We do have a Venmo account (LINKED HERE) for those who feel compelled to contribute and support Todd’s healing journey. Your generosity has made a significant impact in the past, granting us the freedom to explore alternative healing methods.
Cancer is undoubtedly a “dis-ease” that affects too many lives, but we remain steadfast in our belief that Todd has a profound purpose to fulfill. We have so many lives to change on the other side of this journey. His story matters, and the challenges we face today are shaping our future in ways we might not fully comprehend, but know will become reality. Together, as a united community, we can rally behind Todd and continue to uphold the spirit of hope and resilience that defines our holistic healing endeavours once again.
Thank you for your unwavering support, compassion, and understanding.
With so much gratitude,
