BODY, SPIRIT & THE MIND

Navigating our way through natural healing

BODY, SPIRIT & THE MIND

From that moment on we knew our lives were forever changed. The way we looked at life was completely different. Bailey Obrien’s story came right back into our lives in a different interview and we knew it was a sign. We visited her website and seen exactly what she had done to heal her melanoma cancer. It also led us to follow other cancer survivors that have healed themselves naturally. Suddenly, it became all Todd and I were doing….researching all of these wonderful stories (it has officially taken over our tv). Everything made perfect sense. It is our bodies that create disease and our bodies can heal themselves! They just need the right tools.

We scheduled a consultation with Bailey within a few days and it was amazing to speak with someone that has been exactly where Todd is. To know that she has made it through cancer and has done something wonderful because of it, that really touched our hearts. This is something that we want to do, share our story. Bailey inspired us by being full of positivity and faith, she is a genuinely a good person. She has continued to be wonderful support with our email communication. That opened our souls to realize that becoming more spiritual is a big part of healing. It is not about wishing everything will be ok, but having faith that it will. Following the path, we are shown down. I am so grateful that our paths crossed with hers, everything started with her story.

Check out her story, website, and blog! She offers a free juicing guide e-book on her site. That was the first thing we did it was very helpful for beginners! https://www.baileyobrien.com/

Todd and I both felt like now we have a purpose in life. Our own spiritual calling. This is our experience and we are going to make life changes with it and hopefully help others along the way. We thank God for the blessings that we do have!

He decided to cancel his Opdivo treatments, why continue to put toxins into the body if they were not helping. Plus we learned from a study done in 2015 given for metastatic melanoma that Opdivo “progression-free” survival was only about 7 months. The math worked out exactly from March to October!?! Of course, we were not told any of this by the Oncologist and I’m sure that’s not a coincidence. I wish we would have known before, known to do more research ahead of time! Todd canceled all of his future appointments for blood work and the Oncologist too. Including the surgical Oncologist in Orlando, he does not want to rush into another surgery. We made an appointment with an Integrative Physician and were waiting to see her on December 4th, which was almost a month away.

When it comes to healing the body, remember we are what we eat! Todd began juicing carrot and apple juice along with green vegetable juice every day, almost a total of a gallon a day! His diet changed completely, cut out all sugar and processed food. He eats very little meat and dairy, when he does it is organic, grass fed and not given any antibiotics. A lot of fruits and vegetables, we buy organic/ NON-GMO whenever possible. I am so proud of him for being incredibly strict and not straying back to his old eating habits. That included the normal American diet and then dessert would be a bowl of ice cream and/or cereal. I would have never thought we would be those people that read the ingredients on EVERYTHING (the best foods are the ones without labels). It is really disgusting to see that the industry feels the need to add so many unnecessary harmful things into our food. The commercials they air on public television and children’s networks, it is no wonder why the population has so many health issues.

One of the common toxic things most of us consume daily is water. The fridge filter is not getting rid of the harmful chemicals that are in your city or county water. There is so much research to back this up, just how toxic our water is with fluoride, chlorine, pharmaceuticals, viruses, bacteria and the list goes on and on…you will be surprised! We have the Big Berkey, shower filter and a water bottle. Click below to learn more and remember this is an investment for your health!

Meditation has been wonderful at healing the mind. I have been meditating for a couple of years now and love it. Although, it is hard to find a quiet space to do it. My only real alone time was in the shower, and it also made sense to be in my relax space. I did not know if Todd was going to be open to it or not. He started with healing while you sleep meditation that we all have listened to every night and I think it has helped us all. We try to sneak in quick meditation time whenever possible. The mind has wonderful powers over our bodies. Believing that everything we need is already within us. Being more mindful in your everyday life can make a huge difference. Stress can affect your whole body. Learning to stress less and take one day, even one minute at a time. Also, learning to forgive and move past the things that bother us. Be at PEACE with yourself and your life.

While we have continued to diffuse the essential oils, at this point we began using them topically again. Check out the Essential Oil page for more information. https://peacebeach.net/essential-oils/

Unfortunately, for us and most people, it takes a health crisis to open their eyes to a better way of living.

There have been a couple of other cancer stories that have helped us keep our hope and positivity through this and have such a great outlook on life. We consider them all to be wonderful mentors!

Chris Wark from http://chrisbeatcancer.com has an amazing survivor story with over 50 interviews from other survivors and tons of useful information on his site.

Kris Carr http://kriscarr.com is a cancer thriver that lives with her rare cancer diagnosis and has a great inspiring website too!

Hello would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re working with? I’m planning to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a tough time making a decision between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something completely unique. P.S My apologies for getting off-topic but I had to ask!
